Blakedean Scout Hostel
Blakedean Scout Hostel near Widdop is owned by Pennine Calder District Scouts, and was originally converted from a Chapel Sunday School. Since then it has been extensively renovated to provide centrally heated accommodation for youth groups. The building sleeps up to 24 young people in bunk bed accommodation and is surrounded by stunning moorland countryside criss-crossed by paths and streams.
Hebden Hey Scout Centre
Hebden Hey Scout Centre is owned by Halifax District Scouts and includes two hostels and a campsite. It is located in a wooded valley near Hebden Bridge. The modern hostels sleep 44 and 30, and the twelve camping areas are situated away from the main buildings which provide toilet and shower facilities for campers. The site also features an activities field, obstacle course, campfire circle, and acres of woodland for all types of Scouting activities.
